1. Be kind and respectful. Students are to be kind and respectful to their peers and teachers. This is a rule that many students struggle with at times, but it is a great rule for the classroom. Students need to be nice to each other because we cannot be a community in the classroom if we are not nice and respectful to each other. 2.Always raise your hand to speak. This rule means before a student starts talking, they need to raise their hand and wait to be called on. This rule keeps kids from over talking each other. It also helps make sure students are listening to each other because they will not be talking. It also helps keep the noise level in the classroom more manageable. 3. Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself. This rule pretty much explains itself. Students are to keep hands, feet, and objects to themselves unless instructed other wise by the teacher. This keeps students from getting hurt and keeps students from starting fights as well. 4. Follow directions. This is one of the most important rules. At all times students need to be following directions. Following direction is how students stay safe as well as follow directions ensures that students are doing what they are supposed to be doing. 5. Take care of your belongings and the classroom belongings. This rule means to take care of things that belong to you like backpack, school supplies etc. It also means to take care of the belongings in the classroom like textbooks, computers, white boards etc. This rule first teaches responsibility and then it also helps ensure that stuff lasts longs. The better we take care of something the longer it is going to last.
